Submissions for the annual shufPoetry Contest are open!!  JUDGE: Kate Durbin

Kate Durbin is a Los Angeles-based writer and artist. She is author of The Ravenous Audience (Akashic Books, 2009), E! Entertainment (Wonder, forthcoming), and co-author of Abra, forthcoming as an iPad app and artist book with the help of a grant from Center for Book and Paper Arts at Columbia College Chicago. Abra will also be published as a trade paperback by 1913 Press. Kate is founding editor of Gaga Stigmata, and her tumblr project, Women as Objects, archives the teen girl tumblr aesthetic. Please look through the archives to see what kinds of poems we publish before submitting.  We highly encourage you to use mixed media, such as: audio, graphic images, animation, or video.

 shufPoetry abides by The CLMP Code of Ethics.   Simply put, we agree to act ethically and be transparent with our contest guidelines.  Winner cannot be a former student, colleague, lover, bff, baby daddy/mama, or person affiliated in any way with our contest judge and the editors of this journal. So that means (sadly) that if we know you, you can't win this contest.  But, good news, if we do know you, you can always wait for open submissions.
